Led by Dana Danielson with other Soul Waves teachers offering a taste of what they do! The Soul Waves guiding team for this includes, Suzanne P, Jennifer B, Michael B, & Hilary B. We hope you will join us on this sacred journey in community!
IMPORTANT PREPARATIONS FOR CLASS: Wear good shoes for dancing outside. Wear stretchy clothing, such as yoga attire. Maybe with a fun twist or flair, to add to your dance! Layers are good in case you easily get warm or cool. Bring a water bottle. Bring your yoga mat or towel for lying on the ground. Optional: towel, journal, and a friend.
It's really quite simple. You show up. You move. And you are moved! ALL EXPERIENCE LEVELS are welcome. (16 years and older only.)
This is a mostly a 5Rhythms class which is a self-guided movement experience. We'll help you arrive and warm up with a bit of Yoga and Qigong and more! You dance however your body can move. A handicap or injury/ issue can only teach you new ways to move.
THE 5RHYTHMS IS: A dance. A path to higher vibration. A spiritual practice for some. A workout for others. You are the choreographer. Your body sets the limits. Just maybe, the chattery mind quiets and finds peace. There is no right or wrong way and no steps to follow. No experience is needed.
A MOVING MEDITATION: We do our own dance to "a wave" of music taking us through the 5 rhythms of: flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical and stillness. Through this practice of movement we explore the energy of these rhythms and how we relate to them, on the dance floor and off. We simply "show up" bringing it all to the floor.
