Optimize Your Infrared Sauna Time
How to Prepare | What to expect
Hydrate! Hydrate! Drink plenty of water the day of, and before your sauna time. We provide water for your time in the sauna or bring your own bottle.
Wear a bathing suit or nothing. The choice is yours. Less clothing simply feels better. The area is curtained and private.
You will sit on a towel and use another to wrap around you. We provide towels or you may bring your own.
You will need to shower before getting in the sauna. This is to help us keep oils and lotions off the wood, as well as for sanitary purposes. We have a shower for your convenience, with fragrance-free soap products and a robe.
You may stay in the sauna for 20-40 minutes, or up to about 45 minutes if you are comfortable.
You will be in the sauna while it heats up. You can turn the temperature up or down as you wish. You still get benefits at even 90 degrees F. Even though the temperature may read up to135 or higher, it will not really feel that hot.
You should begin to sweat about 15 minutes into your session (timing depends upon temperature and your body.) Supposedly a 15-20 minute sweat is ideal. But listen to your body. If you feel uncomfortable or light-headed in anyway, it’s time to get out.
There will be music playing in the sauna room but you may choose to hook up via blue tooth to the speakers in the sauna. But don’t take your phone into the sauna.
You may take a book and water into the sauna. You may wish to sit in various positions or do some light stretching. It is roomy for 1 person but could conceivably fit 2 people in a cozy seated way. The second person is an additional charge, if you wish to add a guest.
Who Should Avoid the Sauna?

if you have been ill or dehydrated in the last few days
if you have any open wounds, sores or any skin rashes or conditions
if you have any health conditions or taking any medications, it is always advisable to check with your doctor first
