A Hot Tub Soak 

The Why’s & When’s 

We humans have probably always intuited the benefits of soaking in warm water. Many cultures even built large communal bath and soak venues around natural hot springs.

A hot tub can offer many benefits such as: 

  • relieve chronic pain including arthritis and fibromyalgia

  • improve range of motion

  • improve circulation

  • ease mental and physical tensions

  • improve sleep quality

  • quiet-time away from the demands of daily life

  • quality social and personal connection time

Contraindications…. when to avoid getting in a hot tub: 

  • when pregnant, play it safe and avoid overheating, such as in a hot tub or sauna

  • if you have had diarrhea within the last 48 hours

  • if you have any open wounds, sores or any skin rashes or conditions

  • if you have any health conditions or taking any medications, it is always advisable to check with your doctor first
